Q: Was there a book about God being dead that interested a lot of college kids?

A: Yes, there was. Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher, wrote his memorable book, "God is Dead."

Perhaps the best refutation of his confused thinking came after a rebellious college student defiantly chalked in huge letters on a university wall, "GOD IS DEAD." and signed it, "Friedrich Nietzsche."

A plucky Newman Center student took one look at this,w went to his dorm in search of a piece of chalk, then added the following below Nietzsche's words:

"Ha! Ha! Ha!
I have news for you!
Friederich Nietzsche is dead!"
The student then signed it.
"God"
